Founder of Abuse Free Mama

Survivor Advocate | Lived Experience Expert | Former Midwife

Hi, I’m Loubie — founder of Abuse Free Mama, survivor of domestic abuse, single mama and former midwife of 15 years.

After fleeing to refuge with my little boy, I made myself a promise: I would never suffer in silence again — and I would help other women feel less alone in theirs.

Today, I combine professional experience, lived expertise and honest, unfiltered advocacy to support women as they make sense of what happened, reconnect with themselves and begin rebuilding life on their own terms.

My work has contributed to domestic-abuse services and strategy in Leeds, alongside organisations and professionals across women’s support, policing and the justice system. But Abuse Free Mama was built for the woman behind the statistics — the one wondering whether she’s imagining it, whether it really was abuse, and whether she’ll ever feel like herself again.

You are not crazy. You are not weak. And you do not have to heal quietly.

This is the safe, honest support I once needed — and now I’m building it for you.

Lived experience

The confusion, guilt, fear, and exhaustion you may feel are real. They are also common. You are not the only one who has felt this way.

Midwifery expertise

15 years of caring for women and families means understanding how abuse affects pregnancy, birth, motherhood, and the body after trauma.

What this app is not

  • It is not a substitute for the police, emergency services, or specialist domestic abuse organisations.
  • It is not a replacement for legal advice, mental health care, or therapy.
  • It does not promise to keep your online activity secret. No app can fully hide your history from a determined or tech-savvy abuser.
